Florence Elza Andruss

Milton Nelson became owner of a rock quarry business and developed it all over Kansas, building quarries for road building. He developed his own kind of machinery--used his "rip-rap" (large chunks of limestone) for building dams, and sold lime dust for farms. His business served western Missouri, Kansas and northern Oklahoma.

Florence was youngest of the children and had red hair and freckles.

Florence is the only relative remaining in Kansas of the original Kansas family. She has given me a lot of odds and ends of data that I needed, as well as loaning pictures for this history. My thanks to her!
